I'm really tired of my mom's comments about how my house smells but my rats are my life so I wanted to find a solution. I mainly used newspaper and felt around her cage and then I found this product. My usual method is a layer of yesterday's new unscented paper cat litter and a layer of this coconut litter on top. It takes a long time for the cage to stink (at least 2 weeks) and even if it does, it is hardly noticeable. I can add new linens between cleanings. For a deep clean, I just sweep it with a dust brush and replace it. I will literally never use anything else again.
