Lighter than the Brita brand filter at 1.2 oz. Tremble like maracas.
Both Brita filters weighed 4.0 oz, then this fake was 2.8 oz on my postal scale. There are fewer soot particles in this rammer. When I first picked up this filter and shook it, it sounded like maracas. It felt lighter than the Brita filters I've used for 30 years and sounded like there was more air space in the filter housing. When I used it after soaking it in water for an hour, the water flowed through it as if there were no carbon particles in the plastic that filters the water.
