Review on Guillows Balsa Airplane Jetfire Glider by Jeff Warne

Have fun, pure fun!

Let me start by saying that I will soon be 77 years old. I hadn't thought of these little light aircraft for many years until I saw them here today. Now that I have grown (and almost grown) grandchildren, it is my pleasure to share with them the great joy of flying these little Balsam wooden airplanes. I think the biggest surprise for me was not only that they were in stock, but that they were made by the same company that made them back in the 40's when I got at least a few new ones every spring! Eventually I would end up with a wild start and they would smash their noses into a telephone pole, concrete wall, etc. They're not indestructible, but there's nothing you can do to damage them enough that you'll have to replace one! From what I remember they were selling for $0.25 per plane back then! I have a very large field near my house, just the perfect place to fly them. Too bad I didn't see them in March or April as I live in Ohio then we would have a lot more time to fly them before the snow falls! Thanks very much! Enjoy!
