Bought this despite being a firm believer in leather collars. My dog loves arguing over fences and recently did this with a little poodle. As I tried to pull her back, I felt her leather collar tighten a little. So I set about clearing up this stupid game with the country house neighbor for a while. It was easy to put on and looked and felt quite sturdy (we haven't tested it in action yet and it's still brand new so I can't vouch for its durability or the strength of the grip). At this price, if I had to replace one every 24 months, it wouldn't hurt my wallet. I am happy with my purchase.
