Review on 🔧 Detroit Axle - Front Wheel Bearings & Hubs for 2006-2010 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer (With ABS) - 5-Lug - Set of 2 by Carson Zoberman

No problem if installed correctly. 2008 Ford Explorer

Great quality! I was skeptical about buying them as some of the negative reviews about them quickly gave way. I'm glad I did, the quality is excellent and after about 3000 miles I've had no problems. I had to hit the old wheel bearing hard with a 3 pound hammer and spray lots of penetrating oil to remove it. To avoid premature failure of a new bearing; Remember not to loosen the 32mm wheel center nut until the vehicle is off the ground and the weight of the vehicle is on it. Also remember to tighten the center lug nut before lowering the vehicle. The final torque test of the center nut (185 lbs) can be done with the vehicle on the ground. The three 15mm bolts holding the wheel bearing require 90-95 pounds of torque. The caliper bracket bolts require 125 lb-in torque. Make sure your torque specification is correct, it's safety critical.
