They simply snap in place of the old style trailer side markers (Haul Mark Trailer). We had 12 markers that were 10 years old. It's very easy to replace the old ones (use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry them out of the tabs) and put in the new ones. They're a bit brighter, but the biggest benefit is the reduction in stress they put on your wired circuitry! I tested each before installing and all worked. Still works after a few months of use. This is not a boat trailer so I'm not sure if it can submerge underwater. A bit more expensive than I think they should be. Get a little bonus for the latest technology. However, due to the huge volume, LEDs have become much cheaper. The price may drop one day!
