. Many people have mentioned that the included funnel is too thick and may not fit and/or sit flush with the valve stem bore if the bore is countersunk/cased, even partially. I would heed that warning unless you want to squander $30. If the funnel is not flush with the valve stem bore, it becomes extremely difficult, if not impossible, to install or assemble the valve stem without crushing it. For reference, the outside diameter of the hopper at the outlet of the hopper, just before it tapers at the end, is approximately 18.5mm. The wall thickness of the funnel is approx. 2.5 mm. I actually tried making the OD of the Dremel funnel a bit smaller (it's plastic) to make it work with my wheel, but in later use I split it. I think there's a reason he's so fat. rzunimag. At least one reviewer from 2018 said that this tool could be used on a LOT more wheel styles if the funnel was made of light gauge steel, and I thought the exact same thing. Unfortunately since it's been 3 years and the funnel is still plastic I don't think this is happening. On the plus side, the takedown hook works great. As many reviewers have said, it's quite thick and can damage the valve stem bore a bit, but with a little practice I think the former is no longer an issue and the latter can be mitigated significantly. A little tip if I could: I would make a mark on the side of the hook, er, the hook (like with a marker). This is because it can be difficult to tell which side the hook is facing once it's in the wheel, and the last thing you want to do is pull on the actual wheel (this can damage the hook and even damage it break). In the end I was only able to get one valve stem with this tool, and then only partially. I had to carefully insert the other half of the stem into the hole using a small flat head and lots of silicon grease. Actually, I would take this scenario every time (better than breaking a bead) and give the tool 5 stars, but I've only managed it once. A dozen more attempts resulted in the stems not coming at all or being torn to pieces. Then I changed the funnel which caused it to splinter on the next first use. I had to resort to an old-fashioned trick - breaking the bead with a jack to insert the stem.
