The only problem with wick filters, and it applies to all, not just this brand, is that they are short lived. This is partly due to the water content, which leads to limescale deposits over several days, and partly because wick filters have no antimicrobial properties. Again, this is not a criticism of this particular filter; just filters in general. In this regard, I was surprised to find a metal mesh on the outside and not inside the filter. It doesn't affect how they work, but some people with sensitive fingers might not like the direct touch of the metal grille. 4/5 They do exactly what they are supposed to do. But like all their peers, they don't do anything out of the ordinary to earn that 5 star rating.
