I have been using these replacement filters in my Honeywell car for a few months. They are alright. They last about a month, and then the smell necessitates a filter change. The wire surrounding the filter offers more strength than a standard filter, so that's a good thing. But there is no "extended life".

These filters are a good product and meet our expectations for our humidifier. We have a water conditioner and if the salt in our water builds up on the filter (a small amount), we simply rinse the filter in the sink before putting it back in the humidifier. One filter is enough for us for about a month, then we put in a new one.

The longest lasting and cleanest filter I have used in my Honeywell humidifier. It's a bit shorter than others I've used, but the biggest advantage is that it doesn't have a yellowish stain that bothers others. I clean the humidifier with bleach and the tray with vinegar, but again, it doesn't smell or stain other brands. I will only order from this brand in the future.

The only problem with wick filters, and it applies to all, not just this brand, is that they are short lived. This is partly due to the water content, which leads to limescale deposits over several days, and partly because wick filters have no antimicrobial properties.
