I bought these to fit a closet system in my old house with plaster walls. Nothing seems to work within those walls without destroying them unless you can work directly with the rack. In general they worked very well. I had no problems with the plastic zipper breaking. Drilling a 1/2 inch hole in the wall is a little risky, but they hold up really well once you set them up correctly. My only complaint is that some of them don't stick to the wall very well. Use a flat head screwdriver and pliers to press the plastic part very firmly against the wall. The part is oriented perpendicular to the lathe. Another small issue is that some of the screws do not thread smoothly. Be sure to test each prior to installation to ensure they are screwed in correctly.
