Why not change them often at this price?
I tend to look for easier to service items and air filter replacement definitely belongs in that group. Money. Sure, you can easily spend 3 or 4x that on a filter, but I'd rather spend that money on more frequent filter changes. It's not a few million dollars for a NASA spacecraft - as long as it filters, I see no need to spend the extra money.
