I have always believed that sandpaper should be economical. I saw no need to spend a lot of money on things. After all, why would I spend a lot on three hands when I could spend a lot less on 10 or 20? 3M Sandblaster is not cheap. But when I first used it I was just blown away by how well it works. It sanded fairly quickly, the surface of the wood came out clean and smooth, and the sandpaper didn't clog up like cheap stuff. Likewise, I didn't notice the sand moving away from the sandpaper like cheap paper does. You only get three sheets per pack, but they last a lot longer than 10 or 12 (or more) sheets of cheap stuff. I realized that good paper costs more, but it's worth it. This simplifies the work, improves the look of the project and really saves money in the long run. I will only use a 3M brand sandblaster. You really can't go wrong.
