bought for 1996 Chevy Silverado 5.7L For almost a year I couldn't figure out why my engine temp on the dash was only reading about 150 degrees. but the computer (according to the scanner) would say about 195 or so correctly. I accidentally broke this sensor this weekend while replacing my exhaust manifold and had to buy a new one asap. I chose the Autozone brand; replaced this faulty sensor and after that my temp got much higher where it should be around 200 degrees.
