Great and easy to use kit. The test method is simple: put drops in a glass and the water will turn yellow. Gradually add drops, turning the jar (with the lid tightly closed) between drops until the water turns blue. If that happens, you're done. The number of drops required to turn blue is checked against the attached chart to determine your hardness. Tip: If you are doing multiple tests in beakers, take a 100 mL syringe and attach an air tube to the end. So you can fill the syringe with about 30ml of aquarium water and squirt into each glass to get the perfect amount in each glass (usually 5ml). No more dip cups in the aquarium and pour, fill, pour, fill, etc. Just pour 5 cu. see and voila! Therefore, you get fewer tests from this suite. But even if you have very hard water like me, you can test for several months with this kit. I recommend this set to others.
