I bought one of these to try, then bought another one even though there was a difficulty in using it. This difficulty is related to the installation of the mod frame (which is used for the diffuser, color gels, spout, etc.). The frame is not snapped or removed. The first time I put the frame on, I had to use a lot of force and tilt it back and forth. I then despaired of removing the bezel without using tools that could damage the product. However, I found that the frame was easier to remove and replace by hand after using the Lume Cube. A better design would use detents to turn it on and off. I use two Lume Cubes in the studio to illuminate small subjects when taking photos. I use a Lume Cube Diffuser and a Lume Cube Snoot. They are magnetically placed on the conversion frame. I also occasionally use a small piece of polarizing film between the diffuser and the nose. The magnetic force is strong enough to make this possible. It would be nice if Lume Cube would supply a polarizer for the mod frame as well as their other modifiers.
