Review on Mophorn Countertop Pure Water Distillation by Christine Noland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the most useful things I bought this year

I'm a gadget freak. I love cool and interesting gadgets. So a water still is not a cool and interesting gadget, but it is one of my favorite and most useful things that I have bought lately. We have Keurig and Nespresso coffee machines at home as well as a CPAP user. Even with my mid-range sink water filter, I had to descale Keurig and Nespresso machines every 2-3 months. Therefore we prefer to use distilled water. Distilled water costs about $1 a gallon at my local grocery store, but it's certainly impractical to carry about 3 or 4 gallon jugs around the house a week. We use the car 3-4 times a week. The fan is audible but not loud but we leave it running at night before bed so no one can hear it even from another room. We decalcify the water tank in the distillery with a cup of vinegar about once a month. This is MUCH easier and quicker than descaling Keurig and Nespresso machines. I've never noticed an aftertaste from using the included plastic pitcher, but we pour water into containers for our coffee system or CPAP machine almost immediately. , so that the water does not stay in this container for a long time. Be sure to align the plastic jug correctly under the burner dripper. Otherwise you can leave it on and come back a few hours later to find a big mess. In any case, the need for distilled water becomes much easier.
