How I've never heard of it in my 15 years of film and outdoor work, I don't understand. It works anyway, great value for money. On my recent week-long hike, I used it to tie down a tripod in a moving vehicle, tie down a canopy in a windy canyon in the mountains, like 4 attachment points for shade. with tarp and bungee cords. The non-slip properties of this lead make me prefer it over Paracord 550 for this and many other uses. The only problem is that a slipknot doesn't slide very well when tying. the slip resistance is actually very pleasant. Anyway, I wrapped about 15 feet of material around a small stick and have now added it to my EDC. Will buy more before it runs out!
