It is impossible to use and charge it at the same time, choose yourself!
Just a note for anyone considering buying this, it's going to be a while and if you do (at least on my 64GB version. Read. Expensive version) keep that in mind that you can't power it on via USB-C and plug in an HDMI cable because the connectors are too close together. So it's certainly good gear, but you're very, very lonely after you buy it.
