*edit* I just checked my lock after 5 months and we found rust. After opening it, it is now unblocked. Don't worry if you store it outside. This is a good strong lock that comes with 3 keys which are great for keeping one for yourself, giving to someone else and generally storing one in case you both lose the keys. .So far I have kept it on the back gate and its color. The sun does not overheat, which is also a big plus.
