I've always used Verbatim AZO DVD+R DL discs, but the loss in quality was downright dramatic with 20-30% of the reels falling out during the burning process. Although I initially attributed it to a bad batch I now see this as normal expectation for these drives as I have just (stupidly) ordered another roll thinking the results would be different but there are none and countless more TOC, L0 and finalizations occur as usual and appear to be even more common than before. The only good thing is that while BD-Rs are still optical media, they still seem to be produced to a high standard, with almost no hiccups that I can recall. I think these niche drives have reached the end of their useful life and no reputable drive manufacturer has decided to make them anymore and therefore your purchase will be inconsistent at best. I would recommend staying away and trying Memorex or Revain Basics.
