I expected it to work like a human thermometer. Do you know where it squeaks when it comes up to temperature? nope So, as far as I know, I'm leaving the thermometer on for too long. I had a problem with hamburgers the other day. The thermometer said it was fine, but my dogs and I got sick. However, it is easy to read and works well enough to use. Digital ones are easier to read, but some of us get confused.
