This is a decent low power solar panel controller. It works well enough for 10-30W (upper limit not really sure) but definitely not for 5A. Under such a load the transistor starts to get very hot and catastrophic failure is inevitable. If you plan to use it with 100w solar panel, it won't work. I used it with a 14w solar panel and it worked fine but with 100w I blew the transistor in under 3 hours. The setting is not bad, you can set the LiFePo4 voltage. Unfortunately, it doesn't stand up to the strain. I would say limit the current to 1-2A
