Instructions have definitely been updated as previous reviewers said they weren't clear. The instructions are clear now - I had no problem setting up what I needed - although the wording can be a bit awkward at times. This product now also has an AM and PM function instead of the 24 hour format. (The countdown can take up to 24 hours). I feel like a company is responsive to feedback from their customers, which is amazing and rare these days. The only thing I would like to change is that the screen is difficult to read when looking at the watch from above. It is best to read it directly on the clock or diagonally below it. Works well and I'm happy with my purchase considering the very affordable price. ------ Update July 2021 (one year later). as well as my other battery powered clocks (which of course cost a lot more). I think I've had to turn the clock back about 3 times in the last year, each time it was about 4+ minutes behind real time. Still great for my purposes as a second watch/timer.
