This thing takes time to build! While it's fairly easy, it's definitely not a beginner's process. Although it says to cut the ignition wires, I instead plugged them in and left them soldered in for two reasons: 1) I don't know the manufacturer and wasn't sure if it wouldn't fail, and 2) I wanted to retain the functionality of the "Key on, engine off" for an OBD scan. Aside from some wiring issues I had (mainly due to splicing, definitely my fault), this product works great! Notes: This product uses negative (-) signals for locks. This means I had to add a relay to my truck to change this. Nothing major except for some additional costs. There is a wire that should be connected to the oil pressure sensor (tells the remote starter that the engine has successfully started and is running and no need to attempt a restart). But when I connected mine to it there wasn't enough voltage to satisfy the block so every 10 seconds it tried to start the engine after it was already running causing the starter to rattle. I fixed this by running the fuel pump wire from the ECM to the relay (it also lacked power), then from the relay to the fuel pump and remote start. I also had to disable a couple of mechanical ignition-activated anti-theft devices. In my case the gearbox lock and the steering wheel lock. This significantly increases the installation time. This is not necessary if you cut the wires to the ignition and just leave them in the "working" position.
