Review on Cloyes 9-4202S Balance Shaft Kit: Ensuring Optimal Engine Balance & Performance by Chris Fields
.300 " crank sprocket too tight
Installed on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC. Found that the harmonic balancer rests on the underside of the front cover. I disassembled everything and found that the original crank sprocket . 720 "wide, while the Cloyes sprocket was only .415". Cloyes must either include a washer or a different crank sprocket with the kit, or stop listing it as Cobalt SS/SC compatible.
