Incorrect chain in the balancing kit.

How can I contact the seller? I don't have a scale, but a timing chain. I also ordered a timing kit, now I also have 2 timing chains and there is no balance. my car was gutted in the parking lot and it turned out to be a simple job, not everything is so simple. and it was $91. not the usual price for ice cream.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • not the best

.300 " crank sprocket too tight

Installed on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC. Found that the harmonic balancer rests on the underside of the front cover. I disassembled everything and found that the original crank sprocket . 720 "wide, while the Cloyes sprocket was only .415". Cloyes must either include a washer or a different crank sprocket with the kit, or stop listing it as Cobalt SS/SC compatible.

  • Industry best

Balance Shaft Chain Kit for 2009 2.2L VVT Ecotec

This is an OEM kit to replace the chain, sprockets, guides and tensioner in a 2009 2009 VVT Ecotec engine. Most of the parts you replace are called Cloyes. All of these new Cloyes parts have a GM part number. Given the time it takes to replace these parts, it makes sense to use genuine OEM parts rather than parts of unknown origin.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • old

Gave me a piece of mind.

I replaced the balance shaft chain/sprocket when I started making the timing chain kit. My Saturn Ion has done 200,000 miles and I've replaced everything just in case. The timing chain on my last car broke at 228,000 miles and I LOVE this car. unfortunately the ecotech is a disruptive engine and it broke. The whole work took about 6 hours. Don't forget to order a valve cover gasket and a front cover gasket, just in case. I was able to reuse my old ones so I can send both back to Amazon for a…

  • Communication with seller

SEEMS TO WORK OK, CHAIN COLORS DO NOT MATCH INSTRUCTIONS

I ordered a kit but in hindsight I should have just ordered the chain and guides and saved a few bucks. I didn't want to change the balance shaft gears - they didn't look damaged and didn't work. Replaces tensioner, guides, sprocket and chain. Colors are not marked to match instructions. After a few minutes of farting, it's easy enough to figure out which color goes with which zodiac sign. Seems to be working fine after 4 months.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
