I have a problem with the X-10 lighting in my home theater. Some X-10 modules worked, others didn't. During the elimination process, I found that when my computer was connected to the network, it was creating noise in the electrical wiring in the room. The PC didn't even have to be switched on. The motherboard is still supplied with power even when it is switched off. (That is, the motherboard has LEDs that light up even when the computer is off or in standby mode). When I physically disconnected the computer from the network, all X-10 devices worked properly. The X10 XPPF Pluggable Noise Filter was the answer! After installing this between the PC and the outlet, my problems were solved. Then I noticed I had the same problem with my music keyboards when they were powered on, so instead I connected the XPPF to power and connected my computer and keyboards to power. Problem solved!
