X10 interference problem solved

The small X10 system in my house has stopped working. Spent the evening unplugging devices throughout the house to try to determine the cause. The problem was limited to a switching power supply for my cable modem system that was pumping electrical noise down the line and interfering/interfering with X10 signals. I installed this filter on the power supply connector and immediately got the X10 working again.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No

It was a shot in the dark but it worked

X10 XPPF plug-in noise filter I didn't use it for its intended purpose but it worked great. I have a solar system with Enphase Envoy and S280 microinverters. They speak on 144kHz, when I installed the store's LED light and turned it on, they lost connection. I tried different ferrite cores but it didn't help. Installed this filter today. No more disruptions! Please note that it is limited to a 5 amp load, but my light is 350mA.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

A must have item for any X10 home control system

I have a network of X10 home control units in my house and these replacement filters are a must. Many electronic devices such as televisions, stereos, and even simple power strips with surge protectors interfere with x10 signals in your home. By plugging it into a wall outlet and then plugging faulty electronic devices into it, you eliminate electrical interference and allow your X10 system to operate more reliably. These filters are well made and work as advertised.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Vulgarity

X-10 Issues Fixed

5-26-2019Most reviews say that XPPF has fixed the issues with the new Smart TV power line. It also instantly cured my new TV. All X-10 teams are back to work except for a lightbulb caused by a karaoke neon sign. I moved the noise filter to the shield and connected it. It also cured the commands on another 125V phase, so here I am happy to order a second noise filter today. Can you imagine a karaoke party where all your DJ lights are either dimmed or off all night? The new TV caused this with…

Eliminates PC noise

I have a problem with the X-10 lighting in my home theater. Some X-10 modules worked, others didn't. During the elimination process, I found that when my computer was connected to the network, it was creating noise in the electrical wiring in the room. The PC didn't even have to be switched on. The motherboard is still supplied with power even when it is switched off. (That is, the motherboard has LEDs that light up even when the computer is off or in standby mode). When I physically…

System is better without it

I was shocked to see that this device actually made things worse. As many know, the X=10 press and prayer log leaves a lot to be desired, but for the price, I think it's worth the effort. As well as controlling the regular lights around the house, I also use it to control holiday displays (electricity for them, at least). I know that the X10 signal can be affected by items such as PC UPSs and refrigerators. So when we bought a smaller wine cooler, I bought one of these to plug into. Everything…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
