Beautiful bag with a comfortable design. I like the strap as the type cover (optional keyboard) actually prevents the magnets from connecting to keep the case closed. It works very well as a stand and as general protection for flat surfaces. The case leaves the sides open for access to ports and buttons, which is great. The downside is that the corners are open. So don't expect a lot of shock absorption if you get dropped. If the corner hits the ground, the Surface will take the brunt of the impact. I think this case is perfect unless you are using a keyboard with a Microsoft style cover. With the keyboard attached, the edges of the Type cover actually stick out and the cover doesn't seem to stretch as much as it should to cover the entire surface. I believe the case was originally designed just for the Surface, and it was later assumed that the case would cover the Surface+ lid "acceptably" but by no means very well.
