I like the Speedbor Max. If you've ever only used traditional hammer drills and hole saws, you're living in the past. The 21st century has brought us the incredibly fast three-blade Speedboro. I used them on a recent electrical system rewiring and upgrade project. I had to drill a lot of holes in REAL 2" hardwood joists. Combined with my Dewalt 18v cordless drill this was a very quick job. They have a lead thread which makes it easy to center the holder with speed! Sorry for that shameless pun. Although they cut fast and the cuts are a bit rough, they are nowhere near as rough as one would expect based on the speed. On the other hand, there is no breakthrough. In conclusion, this work! The set comes in a nice soft case Supplied with a zip tie so it doesn't get lost. I used my 7/8" the most and after years of mishandling they still work. If there's a downside, it's the length. The overall length, as well as the length of my drill bit, makes it difficult to get them between 16" mullions. You should start the cut at a slight angle, but you won't be able to straighten it out once you reach the middle of the material.
