Well I like the design of this device. I haven't had a real chance to use it yet. I bought this item primarily for my 1977 Mercedes 300D. It has an outdated AC system which I have absolutely no interest in "upgrading" to R134A. If I finally run out of R12 I will use one of the existing alternative refrigerants. And quite a few of them aren't configured to easily connect to a coolant hose/gauge kit. This device will allow me to do that. I hooked it up to an aerosol can of dust/air in a canned product just for fun and it worked flawlessly. It sealed well and worked as advertised. It didn't leak at all for a week so I left it attached.
