I like this knife. I guess I just misunderstood what the product description meant by auto-retractable. I was under the impression the knife was considered a "safety" knife - which is all I can have at my job - so the other box cutters I have I either can't let the wrong person see me with it because they'll confiscate it, or I just simply can't use at work. And I open a lot of boxes. Which is why this was attractive to me. It DOES have the auto-retract feature but there's also just as easily, a slide to engage the blade where it does NOT auto retract. That's not the company's fault, it's mine for misunderstanding. Other than that it's great
