Sockets wear out fairly quickly - they are lost. There is no need to connect and disconnect the same test block too many times. I reconfigured a lot on the same board. After a while, the socket no longer held firmly and I lost the electrical connection. If they feel lost, use a new board. They are not intended for permanent installation.
