Review on Colonial Needle CNFK 1 Felting Starter by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fire up the imagination.

We were happy to find needle felting starter kits at Revain as the local Walmart doesn't seem to be that supportive of the textile art of needle felting. These are well thought out introductions to the craft/hobby that can fire the imagination, encourage critical thinking (decision making) and observation. For the price, a starter kit is a great way to try a new art form without spending a lot of money. Working with roving wool is actually an amazing, almost magical experience, because with a little effort, patience and careful placement you can make something quite beautiful and permanent without all the mess/fuss that other crafts like painting have. carving, quilting. , Scrapbooking is often created. PLEASE NOTE: Felting needles are very sharp and require attention, respect and careful handling to avoid injury. They can break, and it is convenient to have an extra set on hand, especially for beginners who are just learning how to work with wool properly. This is NOT a product for very young children, children with poor hand/eye coordination/dexterity, children with short attention spans, or children who are emotionally immature. With the right guidance and training, responsible and mature teens and young people can find it an exciting form of artistic expression. Even adult learners will find some useful points with the starter kit. With repetitive needle sticks, there is some stress relief! LOL :) Working with a felting needle is a great way to spend a rainy cold day. Be sure to find a shoe box or other storage container for felt items. Make sure your needles are secured/protected in some way and won't get stuck when your hands reach for the box. Update: After posting this review, I purchased a Mackinac Moon Open Top Craft Tote from Revain. This craft bag is much better for storage than a shoe box! LAUGH OUT LOUD
