Review on Enhance Vehicle Safety with Utopicar's Adjustable or Fixed Blind Spot Mirrors - Wide Angle Rear View Mirrors for Cars [Frameless Design] (2 pack) by Troy Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Crystal clear, highly polished, permanent attachment with or without a stand

Originally I wanted to wait at least two car washes before writing a review. However, Amzn reviews may be updated at any time, and I do so when appropriate. I liked the transparency of this mirror. It's not a plastic coating like so many others, but a clean, uncluttered, curved, mirror-like look to the glass. I thought longer than I should have decided whether to mount the mirror on an adjustable tripod or fix it straight away and completely without a tripod. I easily spent 10 minutes temporarily mounting with tape on both sides to try to solve the problem. I didn't want to risk standing on a pedestal unless it was necessary. I was afraid that the base might be weak and/or unstable and would quickly weaken over time with the car wash. To get the exact angle I wanted for perfect centering in my blind spot, I opted for the flexibility of a socket. The fixed mount didn't offer a large enough angle, which I thought was ideal, but to be honest, perfectly acceptable. I'm very picky about such details. I drove through a car wash once. The mirror on the pedestal was so rock solid that I'm writing this after just one ride. I promise I will update this review if this mirror starts to come off or becomes droopy and weak after repeated washings. Promise. Update 3/6/17: Fourth wash of my new Rav4. The side rollers of the rubber band bounced against him in vain. The mirror is stable. Update: June 2020 The mirror is still stable and looks like new.
