Apparently I hit a rock on a slow climb and this corrugated tire not only has a scuff, a nick or even a pothole, it's complete from the rim to the second row torn from bumps! Brand new tire, first few miles. I rode the same track system for a while on two sets of specialized Butcher Grids, the sidewalls showing many scrapes but not a single sign of a break. Decided to "upgrade" to the more expensive Maxxis rear end. FIRST ride, it opens up like a piñata and I'm going home. So much for a 60tpi EXO, wow. I think recon is only for driving on soft moss and fire roads.
