I live in a townhouse/apartment so I don't have access to my roof. A few years ago the homeowners association removed all of the rooftop antennas (because we all have cable TV I guess) and I had no FM reception for my Yamaha receiver. A while ago I tried one of the Turk antennas with very poor results, so I gave up VHF reception for a while. Recently I decided to look for a solution again and came across this antenna on the Revain website. Since the reviews were mostly positive, I decided to give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. I installed an antenna in the attic and now I'm receiving all local radio stations with perfect clarity. It doesn't even need a signal booster which I had to use with the old roof antenna. The antenna is truly omnidirectional, so it doesn't need to be installed in any particular direction. The package does not include a mounting pole so I purchased the Antenna Craft UAM9000 universal antenna mount I bought from Radio Shack and had no problem installing it. The instructions that came with the antenna weren't very helpful, but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to assemble the antenna. The hardest part of the install was running the coax cable from the attic two floors down through my closets to my living room receiver. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
