Review on Honeytek A6013L Capacitor Tester: Accurate and Efficient Results by Vincent Lott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A one-page "manual " could have been much better.

My meter reading 6.66 no matter which scale was selected or which capacitor was measured. First impression was that the switch didn't work. It turns out that the state of the HOLD button is saved even if the meter was off. So 6.66 was the last value measured and stored in the factory. Pressing the HOLD button brought it out of this state, after which it worked quite well. The first step of the "Manual" is "Press the POWER button, turn on the device." No power button! The rotary range switch is OFF at both ends of the selection range, ie just before the 20mF selection and after the 200pF selection. So the manual should just tell you to select the capacitance scale you want. Selecting *a* scale turns the display on.
