My meter reading 6.66 no matter which scale was selected or which capacitor was measured. First impression was that the switch didn't work. It turns out that the state of the HOLD button is saved even if the meter was off. So 6.66 was the last value measured and stored in the factory. Mine just arrived today. I think the reason for the identical probe connections is that the wires are short. My instructions say you can measure "inside the circuit". So if you move the probe to the other side you can get closer to the board without having to put the probe down on the board and hold it while placing pins. Just a guess.
