This isn't the large sized hammer that many people are used to. It weighs half a pound according to the description which isn't too bad. Still can do everything a bigger/heavier one can. Nail things in, pound stuff together, and pull nails out. Great for people needing tools but have limited space, already own one and would like a back up, maybe good for kids that you supervise on their projects. Overall definitely something I'd recommend because I think it's a nice and important tool to have. :)
