I have several different travel adapters and bought one of these after giving my previous one to a cousin and my previous adapter changed things negatively with USB. Having one of these with you - even at home - comes in handy more often than you might expect, simply because: - They're really not that much bigger than a typical USB power hub. that you would buy elsewhere. (and they're usually cheaper) - Where applicable, no power plug is required, making it easier to take advantage of USB adapters. - USB-C is (finally) becoming a more relevant cable for plugging in. You can't use one of these as a replacement for your laptop charger, but I can check into almost any hotel room and know I have enough power sources to charge whatever I have.
