I see a lot of people complaining that it's difficult to open and yes it is, BUT applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly around the seal where the top and bottom meet, will solve the problem. without loss of tightness. (Your kit should include a small jar of petroleum jelly to coat the threads of your paint tubes so they seal without closing.) Simply take your finger, dip it, and rub the outside edge and top of the sealing area , then coat the inside of the cap sealing area, put the cap on and move up and down a few times to coat it with petroleum jelly, done. It stays closed, still sealed, and will be MUCH easier to open.
