I've been cutting MDF with different types of bits. This is by far the best I've ever tasted. I usually try not to use too much force when drilling, so to speak, let the drill do its job. I've found that with this type of drill bit, when I apply strong downward force to it, the flat underside of the blade just pushes back the MDF in small spirals. I was able to cut through 3/4 MDF in just 5-10 seconds without burning through or anything. I have a regular crown of this size that I've tried with MDF and it's terrible. It melts MDF more than it cuts. This bit was very helpful as I needed to drill 40 holes for the arcade control panel.
