Beware of buying and installing

This filter seems reasonable but it took more youtube research to make it suitable. The Car Compatibility Guide was too extensive in the list of car models that the filter fits. The instructions in 4 pictures on the box were also insufficient. However, the video I found on Youtube for my 2005 Honda Accord was close to perfect. A possibly greater ambiguity was how to release the latch holding the glove box forward. Another thing was that the two half plates of the filter didn't fit in the filter frame. Through analysis I found that part of each filter was not recessed to align with the frame. Hence they are stuck and above the right level. By cutting off a tiny piece at the appropriate point of each half-filter, both were able to sit flush. Another problem was that when the two half-filters lay flat, there was a 3/8 inch gap for unfiltered air to pass through. This was easily fixed by rolling up a short piece of paper towel and stuffing it into the gap. Trouble, all the surgery was possible, I felt competent enough and saved quite a lot of dollars compared to my mechanic (for example replacing headlight bulbs costs over $50 compared to a time when I could do it myself). before Honda made it impossible.) However, I can't tell if the air smells that much cleaner.
