I recently started cycling after buying a used hybrid road bike. Being a bit safety conscious I would never ride a bike on the street or intentionally at night. But after work I like to ride the bike path around the lake. As fall comes, I know there will be days when I'll be trapped in the dark as the sun goes down before I complete my journey. Ultimately, this is what prompted me to buy this bicycle lamp. While it works great as a bike light (see my photo, it can lightly illuminate the road about 40 feet in front of me on the highest settings), I found it to do MUCH more than the feature I dream of for most electronic devices would have wished . (more on that later). As a battery pack, it also doubles as a great camping flashlight or emergency flashlight when the power goes out. Not only can the handlebar strap be used to hang the lantern inside the tent (use the soft light setting so it doesn't glare inside the tent), but I've found it useful when I'm working on my motorcycle or have my car in the garage. The strap can easily be attached to the frame of a motorcycle or hung under the hood of a car. For example, it can be mounted on the handlebars of a motorcycle so that when working on the valves it points down towards the fuel tank to provide additional light. The swivel function of the mount is also practical, as not all bicycle handlebars are at right angles to the direction of travel. Travel. It has a rubberized grip that keeps the light securely in place and prevents it from spinning on the poles. I mostly drive on paved roads, so the vibrations aren't strong enough to get the light spinning. I particularly like that the light itself easily detaches from the mount, making it very portable. The brake light itself is just as bright and looks a lot like a headlight, with multiple strobe and strobe functions. Although it doesn't detach from the mount like a headlight, this wasn't a problem for me as I just left it on the bike. Now for my favorite headlight function. These should be digital power readings. At first I thought the hours were actually the remaining battery life for each of the lighting modes. Switch between modes and the digital display will change to show you how much battery life you can expect when using that mode. This is a really handy feature and I wish there were more of this on devices. This feature alone makes this flashlight very useful in an emergency. Knowing how much time the battery has left before it needs to be recharged can help you plan how to make the most of your available light source. It should be noted that headlights and brake lights are charged via different cables. The headlight uses a USB Type-C cable, while the brake light uses a regular Micro-USB cable. Both cables are included so it can be charged immediately. It would have been nice if it also included a small pouch for attaching lights and cords, but that's no big deal. Overall I am very impressed with the functionality, features and first impressions of the durability of the Gymwebeek bike light. Furnished.
