Review on Enhance Early Learning with the VTech First Learning Activity Table by Richard Deng

Fully bilingual and great toy for ages 6 months and up!

This toy is much more fun and interactive than the similar but older (2011?) different brand toy it was purchased to replace. My 8 month old boy loves turning the pages of a book and opening and closing a laptop and I know the other features will keep him entertained for months to come. My 3 year old actually still loves it interesting. We are currently using it without legs and it gets a little heavy with legs if your child cannot stand yet, so be careful. (We tied 2 x 8 pound weights to the legs of our old toy, but I've seen them attached to kindergarten sandbags before.) My favorite thing about this toy is that it's COMPLETELY bilingual. It doesn't say that verde means green, but that verde is a color between blue and yellow. That is, everything he does in English, he does in Spanish without being a translation from English. We are a bilingual family and it is much better for children to learn both languages this way than to learn and translate something in English like most 'bilingual' toys do. The Spanish alphabet song is even sung to a different melody than the English version, so they can ñ! Overall, this toy gets an A plus from me. I really wish the stickers on my phone, book, and watch were more drool proof, but this is more of a criticism of my drooling baby than a toy.
