Carpet is a big disappointment. Can't see it being used in a high traffic area considering it will NOT last in our home. For us it was ok. a month and a half and already matted (the pile has been smoothed out). It is mainly committed by two elderly people and a small dog. I've had $15 TJ Maxx rugs that have held up better. One of the features of this rug that I was excited about is the rubber base and edging. It stays in place, but no matter what I try, I can't get the edges perfectly flat. A small thing, but it annoys me. Overall I cannot praise the quality enough and would have happily chosen a different rug. When spring comes I'll move it to the back porch. The dog will love it!
