I installed four of these with hot glue on my sager np-8177 (i7 7820HK/1070) laptop. Two were placed on top of the processor's heatpipes and terminated on the metal of the fan's cooling system. The other 2 are on the GPU heat pipes and are connected to this fan. Idle temperatures dropped from the mid 60's to the low 40's. The Prime95 benchmark went from thermal throttling for 1-2 minutes to almost 45 minutes to drop from 3.6 GHz on all cores. a few more of them.
