I bought 2 of these to power the Cube ASIC Miner and they ran for about 20 hours until the 2 yellow wires overheated and melted the insulation. Luckily I was sitting in the room when they started melting and smelling, or there could be a short circuit which resulted in significant damage to my electronics or possibly even a fire. I bought a molex dual entry kit and it worked great and didn't even get warm. So it seems that the power required by the connected peripheral should be below about 100W to avoid damage. Otherwise, purchase an adapter that connects each yellow wire to a separate port. In low power applications they will probably work perfectly, but I'm giving them 3 stars because there are very few situations where a PCI-E connector is required for a low power peripheral. Spend a few bucks or so and get the dual entry version.
