These lights are good but I found they weren't protected from the rain. When it rains, water will seep through the cover and cause a short circuit and/or corrosion of the electronics. If you've used them outdoors, make sure they're covered. All mine have failed. If I were to buy them again I would try putting some clear sealant on the outside around the top where the solar panel meets the metal rim. This can prevent the ingress of water. Another leaking issue that isn't a big deal is that the small plastic flap that covers the battery tends not to snap into place. It appears to be a design or manufacturing defect. In half of the apartments I had to seal this door. Also, they are very attractive. I used small jelly jars with diamond shaped sides and filled the jars with clear glass beads. This diffused the light and gave the glasses a denser glow effect.
